Booking rules by state
Maine state park camping reservations
How far ahead you can book, what time dates open, and the rules that trip people up.
The rules
- Maine opens the whole season on one day. For 2027: Sebago Lake and Lily Bay on Monday, February 1, 2027 at 9 a.m.; every other state park on Thursday, February 4, 2027 at 9 a.m. If state government closes for a storm, it moves one day. Source, checked October 27, 2026
- Online reservations run through September 13, 2027 at 4 p.m.; after that, sites are first-come, first-served. Source, checked October 27, 2026
- Sebago Lake needs a 4-night minimum for bookings made in February. Weekends need 2 nights everywhere. Source, checked October 27, 2026
Book on CampWithME, the official system run for Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands.
