Burton Island is a car-free island campground on Lake Champlain, reached by the Island Runner passenger ferry from Kill Kare State Park. It has 14 tent sites, 26 lean-tos, 3 cabins and 4 remote tent sites. Vermont opens each date 11 months ahead at 9 a.m.
